Music Now Playing: 'Band On The Run' By WIngs speaker.gif - 1.64 K

On this page, I'll present some of the DOS Pascal stuff I have written. Most of that will be graphics based as that is my primary programming interest. As part of this, I may well publish a small 3D programming tutorial I started a while back and offer the source code to some 3D matrix graphics I created.

ColourSpace PC

For now, I'd like to introduce you to ColourSpace PC - a 'light synth' for your PC! (Jeff Minter's words).

Jeff who? Well anyone involved with the 8-bit Atari 400/800/XL/XE or ST will already know about the 'Yak' - one of the finest ever Atari programmers. He was responsible for Revenge Of The Mutant Llamas, Tempest, Gridrunner and the excellent Colourspace and Trip-A-Tron light synths.

The keys allow you to change parameters and the idea is to 'play along' to your favourite music to produce a light show. Very relaxing in a dark room to Floyd, Vangelis, Jarre, or Tangerine Dream...

Jeff teamed up with the electronic music composer Richard Wagner to produce a video called Merak - The Video which effectively demontrated the capabilities. My version however doesn't come anywhere near to the original... yet.

It currently features:

Full instructions to the program are in the accompanying text file.
