Music Now Playing: 'Keep Talking' By Pink Floyd
I have been living in Tenerife for a year or so now and until fairly recently been unable to do anything with the internet. As such, I unfortunately had no choice but to leave the eJay Web Loop to slowly disintegrate. On my return I have found that it has been replaced with another, maybe better 'loop'. My apologies for those webmasters who I unavoidably let down and best of luck to those involved in the new one.
So, finally back in business, my main aim is to redo my web pages, (register below to be notified as that happens), and introduce another eJay 'first'...
The server will be on line weekends at first and if popular may be extended in the future. Users of the chat server will need to download the client, so I'll also need willing sites to post it for others to download.
First tests have proved encouraging, so hopefully it won't be long before eJayers can chat live amongst themselves, get instant answers to their questions, transfer MIX files to each other and more!
Email me at barrie@tenerife1.com if you are interested in participating in the Chat Server project and watch this space!
I've also updated my Dance eJay page again and you will find the usual selection of Dance eJay track MP3's, samples to download, plus other information and reviews on all the eJay products. I've also had a major influx of new MIX files from all over the world, (around 40!) so they should appear for download when I've checked them all out. Take a look at the page - even if you haven't got any of the eJay products - there are MP3 files of some of the tracks so you can take a listen. If you like dance music I'm sure you'll be impressed...
FastTrak have a Web Loop page at http://www.fasttrak.co.uk/ejay, so check it out. It still isn't a true loop in the sense of being able to roam through all the eJay sites one to another, but it's a welcome start.
Page Changes
The MIDI Page remains, as does my little utility called MIDICOMP which lets you put all of those disk space grabbing MIDI files into a compressed archive file taking up to 75% less space! It's FREE so you are welcome to download it and have a play.
The Adventure Page and the Computer Generated Graphics page stays scrapped, although the program SINEART is still downloadable from the Downloads Page, along with all the other files you might find useful from before the site was updated.
Incidentally, I have only ever received one comment from any of the files I've put on my pages to download, so either no-one else has ever downloaded them, or users only write to complain... and my programs all work OK...
Another new page is the ColourSpace PC page. It's actually the Pascal page, but at the moment, it just contains my version of ColourSpace - Jeff Minter's excellent light synthesizer from the Atari 8-bit and ST days. Written in Pascal for DOS, it lets you doodle with light patterns along to your favourite music. It's continually changing, but you can read about it on this page.
