I find that surfing the Internet is a great way to relax, especially in the evenings.

Just going to a search engine and having a look around can be great fun, and my personal favourit is Altavista.

However, I'll tell you about a few of the links that I use on a regular basis, and which I think you'll find interesting.

As well as using the www, I spend some time downloading and reading postings from usenet, particularly uk.singles, a discussion group for those of us in the UK who are, or have been at some time, single. To find out more information, and to read the charter and the faq, visit the Uk.singles webb site. To find out more about some of the regular contributers to the group, visit the Who's who.
I also subscribe to uk.people.disability, a discussion group for all and any aspects of disability within the UK. It too has a home page, which has lots of useful links on it to many resources recommended by posters to the group.

These pages!

When I made the decision to write these pages, I had then to find a decent html tutor. The one I eventually made use of, which I found to be brilliant, is located here.

My browser!

You're probably wondering what browser I use, as a blind computer user. It is called Nettamer, written by David Colston, and will handle email, usenet, www, telnet and ftp, as well as many other features, recently including Internet Relay Chat. For more info, visit the Net Tamer home page. What I like about it most is that it will run under DOS, and does not require you to have a top-of-the-range pc.
