Exeter Exiles Exeter Exiles

Intro: The Exeter Exiles were formed in November 1991 by a group of 6 people in a pub in Leyton after we had lost (again) to Orient. The idea was to put City fans in London and the South East in touch with each other, with the aim of keeping in touch and making it easier and cheaper to get to games.

From these inauspicious beginnings, we have expanded to the current membership, which is considerably more widespread than originally envisaged. Whilst the majority are still in London & the South East, there are others as far afield as Hong Kong, Barbados and the United States. Wherever they are though, they share the goal of wanting to keep in touch and involved with the club that, at some time or other in their lives, has hooked them.

For their £6 annual membership (£12 overseas), members get 6 copies of the Exiles' magazine (which was In Exile for 20 issues, now it's Good Time Coming), a members list to arrange travel at a local level, discounted rail travel from London (via our membership of APFSCIL) and the chance to receive VIP treatment at our annual sponsored game (this year it's Chester on April 26th). Additionally, we enter teams in numerous London-based competitions, currently Pool, Quiz, Football and occasionally Darts.

If this sounds a worthwhile package to you, and you're not currently a member, then send your details to a.dye@nopres.co.uk with the message title Exeter Exiles and you'll get a membership form by return.
