thanks to the GreciaNet web site for hosting Exeter's
No.1 fanzine on these excellent pages. Below you will find links to a selection of articles from issue 5 and issue 6 of the mag, and we will be making extracts available from subsequent issues when they appear (unfortunately lack of space means that we cannot display articles from past issues). A brief bit of background. There's A Good Time Coming (Be it ever so far away), was launched at the end of 1995, as the result of a merger between The Exe Directory, which had run for 60 issues since 1988, and In Exile, the magazine of the Exeter Exiles, which had reached 20 issues since the end of 1991. Produced from London, the magazine is aimed at City fans everywhere, and can be bought for the princely sum of 50p from vendors outside St. James' Park for the first few games after release. If, like us, you're one of those who trek up hill and down dale watching City, then you should be able to pick one up at away games as well. Otherwise, your safest way of getting hold of it is to join the Exiles, as the mag is sent free to members. The title, in case you're wondering, comes from a marching band tune that City used to run out to in the 1930s. Not only does it have this historical basis, it's also an appropriate description of the blind-eyed optimism required to support City through thick and - much more likely - thin. Contributions and letters are always welcome, and should be sent to the following address :- Good Time Coming Alternatively, since you're obviously connected to the Internet if you're reading this, you could e-mail it to a.dye@nopres.co.uk We look forward to hearing from you. |
