MELISSA JOAN HART was in a TV movie on ABC called, Family Reunion-a relative nightmare. Staring MELISSA JOAN HART as Samantha Avondale. The movie starts out with a boy named Billy Dooley telling about a nightmare he had about his family reunion. He then wakes-up and is in the car with his Mom, Dad, and Sister on there way to the annual family reunion. The reunion and 100 th birthday celebration for Meema (Billy,s Great Grandmother) is held at Jameson Bluffs. After they arrive at the resort, Billy Dooley walks outback and see,s a girl, Samantha Avondale (MELISSA JOAN HART), running through the woods. Billy Dooley says to himself, "FIRST TIME I SAW HER WAS LIKE A FANTASY, A MIST FILLED VISION", then she disappears. Then Billy Dooley and all his relatives are sitting in a banquet room listening to Aunt Kate talk about Dooley family history. Billy looks over toward the other side of the room and he see,s Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART) putting food in her backpack. Billy was amazed to find that he was accually glad to be at the reunion. He had never seen anyone like her, he had to meet her, talk to her. Nothing was going to stop him, just then his Mother said, "you are not going anywhere". Billy then see,s Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART), running and he follows her into a fitness center. He catches her in the womans lockeroom. She gets away and runs outside. Then two girls in a mustang convertable, Samantha,s wicked stepsisters, chase her. Billy Dooley finds a bike and gives Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART) a ride, They ride the bike through the building and out the other side. The girls catch up to them on foot but, Billy and Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART), ride away on the bike. They join the Dooley family bike race. Billy and Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART), tell everyone that she is cousin Bernese. The Dooley,s have a family olympics and Billy and his sister play againt two other relatives in a tennis game. Billy,s sister herts her ankle, so Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART), takes her place. They win the game. Everyone goes back to the banquet room to celebrate Meema,s 100 th birthday, Meema takes off in the middle of the party to go up in a hot air balloon. Everyone goes looking for Meema, Billy finds her and she takes him up in the balloon. The balloon runs out of gas and lands in a nudest camp. Everyone following Meema crashes through the gate, not realizing it was a nudest camp. They all get arrested and go to jail. IThey get out of jail and go back to the banquet room for birthday cake. The real cousin Bernese arrives, Samantha Avondale ( MELISSA JOAN HART ), starts to leave. Billy follows her, tells her to promise to call. Samantha Avonda ( MELISSA JOAN HART ), and Billy KISS. She leaves and her wicked stepsisters take her. Samantha,s luggage tags with her address falls on the ground and Billy finds it. Aunt Kate follows them, Billy Dooley, his Mom, Dad, and Grandpa, also follow them to the address on Samantha Avondale,s luggage tag,s. Samantha Avondale,s wicked stepmother wants her to sign a form so she can become her legal guardian. Then she will send Samantha to a Fine Swiss Finishing school in Europe. Samantha ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) refuses to sign, but her wicked stepmother has Aunt Kate tied-up in a closet. She won,t let her go until Samantha ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) sign,s the form, and is on the plane to Europe. Samantha ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) signs the forms and her wicked stepsisters take her to the airport. Billy, his Mom, Dad, and Grandpa arrived at Samantha,s wicked stepmother,s house. She tells them Samantha is on her way to the airport. Billy,s Dad and Grandpa tell wicked stepmother that from this moment on that they are Samantha Avondale,s Attorney,s. They stay at the house to work on a way to help Samantha and to keep an eye on her wicked stepmother. Aunt Kate, Billy, and Billy,s Mom all go to the airport to get Samantha. They see the plane pulling away from the building and think they are too late. Just then they hear a voice, "HI COUSIN", Samantha Avondale ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) comes from behind. They all go back to the wicked stepmothers house. Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART ) tells Billy,s Dad and Grandpa that she was forced to sign the papers. They tell Samantha ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) that the papers are not legal. The cops come to arrest the wicked stepmother and stepsisters. Samantha Avondale ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) goes back with the Dooley,s. Samantha ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) and Billy are sitting by a waterfall. Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART) says to Billy, "I want to Thank You", she kisses Billy. Billy then says to Samantha (MELISSA JOAN HART) "I want to Thank You", he kisses her. Samantha Avondale (MELISSA JOAN HART) goes to live with Aunt Kate. Aunt Kate adops Samantha Avondale ( MELISSA JOAN HART ) and the Dooley families all head home.
