Bean there, done that!
Ok, so you've seen the 'Isn't It A Wonder' video - all that gorgeous Aussie outback, the convertibles, the HARLEY DAVIDSON, and all those sexy glances to camera.... Well, prepare yourselves for THE SEQUEL. Sort of. The PICTURE OF YOU VIDEO's got all of the above, but with a twist. Gone are the cool machines - in their place is a wrecked ROBIN RELIANT and a dodge old MOPED. There's no exotic desert, just a sunburban street in SOUTH LONDON, and instead of cute Aussie locals we've got, er, MR BEAN. The Boyz are on top from today, even though RONAN's got a sore throat and spends every second quaffing LEMSIP. BOYZONE are top blocks, but they've got an image to keep up and to see them emerge in full MR BEAN GEAR - TWEED BLAZERS, LEATHER PATCHES AND NYLON TROUSERS - is a real treat. MIKEY's well into it. He's doing his MR BEAN WALK and everyone's in stitches. But despite the outfits, somehow they STILL LOOK COOL. Spooky. As soon as they get on set it's full steam ahead with Bean-isms. All except SHANE, that is. He's not very comfy in his role and spends most of the time glued to the Robin Reliant. "I JUST KNOW THAT IF I THROW MYSELF INTO IT I'LL END UP LOOKING A PRAT," SHANE reasons. "It's just one of those things - I'm not as ease with it, so it just won't work." Fair enough, mate! But oh dear, blood is drawn in the first take. MIKEY and RONAN indulge in a playful game of patta-cake, and MIKEY ends up belting RONAN IN THE FACE - accidentally, of course! "Word quickly spreads about the shoot and soon BARRIE THE SECURITY BLOKE and a few friendly POLICE OFFICERS have to cordon off the area. But a few famillies are in the sectioned off bit and set up deck chairs on their front lawns, and MINI GARDEN PARTIES are springing up everywhere! THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY, though, is when ROWAN ATKINSON arrives. The guys are all dead excited and rush straight over to say hello. "HE'S SUCH A NICE GUY", raves Stephen, "and so talented. When he arrived he was just being himself, but then suddenly he'd go into cherecter and THE TRANSFORMATION WAS AMAZING! He's actually quite shy - I was really surprised!" For the brief time that MR B is in the video, everyone IS IN HYSTERICS! He's tripping up round the boys while they're singing and they're soon joining in. It's a riot, and it's great to see BOYZONE HAVIN' A LARF! The last shot of the day is of the guys driving their car, hotly pursued by KEITH ON HIS MOPED. Only troub is, it won't start, and no amount of tinkering will get it to budge. So KEITHY gallantly scoots it along behind the car, FLINTSTONES STYLE! Nice one! It's been a long day and everyone's looking a tad pink from the sun, but being the troopers they are, they're still laughing and goofing around as they head off for the night shots. On ya, guys!
