Boyzone Live In Concert
( Could it be any better )

If you attended this concert you will be as happy as I was. It was a brilliant show and Boyzone performed as good as we thought they would, though better. It was amazing.

Before the day of the concert arrived I was very excited about it all, and I really didn't know what to expect, except the best from the Boyz'. The day finally arrived and I just couldn't wait, I had such a great feeling inside me!

After traveling from Altrincham on the metrolink I arrived at the Manchester Nynex Arena at 6pm and the concert wasn't ment to be starting till 7.30pm though I arrived early as the gues to get in were quite long. As I arrived they began to let people into the Arena and my heart was beating so fast, everywhere I looked there were just fans.

I'd found my seat in block 103 and the view which I had of the stage was very good as I was in row C . There were also two massive screens either side of the stage and one at the top of the arena in the middle. At this stage it was only 6.30pm and the arena wasn't even half full yet, though most people were queing to buy merchandise. Some of the things for sale were as follows :

While everybody was waiting patiently for the show to begin, more and more people were pouring in through the doors and finding their seats, at the same time adverts were being shown on the screens and vidoes of other bands, but suddenly, very unexpectedly the video to 'Words' came on and I almost went deaf. Everyone was screaming and shouting, jumping up and down, waving their flags, whistling their whistles and practicly going mad for the Boyz'. The atmosphere was just unbelieveable, I really can't describe how amazing it all was. The song faided and slowly the crowd calmed down.

Finally the lights went off, the arena was full and it was 7.14pm ( It had started early ). The first band on was "UNIVERSAL". They are three young lads called, George Philippou, Adam Philippou and Michael Philippou. Their tour manager is Steve Shanie and they sang four songs altogether, including 'Bring Back The Love'. Lights were flashing, people were dancing and I felt great. The three brothers said goodbye and the next band came on.

It was 7.31pm now, and the next band was called N-TYCE and consisted of four great girls named, Ario Obubore, Chantelle Kerzner, Donna Studds and Michelle Robinson. Their tour manager is John Bellinger and altogether they sang five songs which included, 'Just The Way We Like It', 'Lets Get This Party Started' and 'Telephone'.

After this the lights come on, the sound lowered and there was a break. It started at 7.53pm and ended at 8.05pm. In this time the merchandise was selling faster and faster and people were buying drinks and food.

8.05pm, the lights went off, the noise once again began and "Alibi" came on stage. This band consisted of two great guys, Kye Mahoney and Jud Mahoney. Their tour manager is Curtis Annelle and they really got the crowd going with their performance of four songs, 'Later Tonight', 'I'm Not To Blame', 'How Much I feel' and 'Sexual Feeling'.

As the show went on through the night the crowd became more and more excited and began to chant 'BOYZONE, BOYZONE, BOYZONE' and also began a 'Mexican Wave' which everybody did as it carried round the arena several times.

The next band came on at 8.27pm and was "The Carter Twins" ( Once called "Brother 2 Brother" ) and their tour manager is Ciaron Keating. They sang five songs, 'Cherish The Love', 'Too Right To Be Wrong', 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me', 'She Cries' and 'The Twelth Of Never'.

After this everyone just knew Boyzone would appear next though first there was a break which began at 8.50pm and ended at 9.05pm. In this time I bought a mug, badges and a program. I then made, my way back to my seat as fast as possible to read some of the signs which people had made for the boyz', such as :

Then......the moment we'd all been waiting for suddenly began. The lights slowly dimmed, the screams and shouts began louder than ever and the word BOYZONE echoed around the arena.

My heart began to beat twice as fast as the five most 'lushus' lads slowly walked out from the curtains and made every girl go crazy with their first song 'Together'. They walked out onto the stage wearing flying suits and holding a helmet each which they passed to their backing dancers as they began to give the crowd the best show they could ever put on.

Mike, Ro, Shanno, Keet and Ste looked like the happiest lads alive at that moment, infact, through out the whole show. I'm sure they loved seeing all those fans there, as much as we all loved seeing them.

The rest of the songs after 'Together' continued one after the other in this order :

ENCORE

In between all of these songs the Boyz' spoke to the audience .

The word 'BOYZONE' was still being shouted though the lights came on and to our dissapointment the show had ended. It was goodbye to the boyz'........ ..until the next time !!!! It was now about 10.40pm and I couldn't see a single person who didn't have the biggest smile on their face.

As I struggled to make my way through the crowds of people to the metrolink, I heard everybody saying how much they loved the concert and thought the boyz' were just great ! I'm sure the boyz' went away from this arena feeling so happy and warm inside because every single person in the audience definatly did.

All I can say now is WELL DONE BOYZ' ! I can't wait till the next time in October...........................
