Sheila Sheffield in Florida has a girl and a boy:
- CHEWEY: Buster's Mr. Chebacca Yawn was born in Miami, Florida on May 18, 1988. He weighs seven pounds and is a mama's boy. He loves to sit in her lap and sleep on her shoulder. When she when back to school to work on her doctoral degree, he got very jealous of her studies. She had to build a nest for him in the file cabinet next to the computer so that he could beclose by. Chewey has luxating patella, a congenital deformity of the backkneecaps. Although he had surgery on both legs when he was young, at Shand's veterinary hospital in Gainesville, Florida, he still walks funny.Since this problem is congenital, he has been neutered. Chewey is pictured in 1995 in front of a statuary memorial to the Fox, a Pomeranian friend, who died at age 15 in 1990.
- MUFFIN Sheffield's Ms. Muffin Ruth was born on November 22, 1984. (This is a1985 photograph.) She weighs about nine pounds. She has been the planned parent of a litter of four Pomeranian pups in 1987 and the unplanned parent of four Peekapoo-Pom pups in 1991. (She is spayed now.) Muffin operates independently throughout the day, but likes loving at night.
Wayne and Michelle own Bunny. Here is her story:
- Bunny is three years old, and LOVES to go bike riding with my fiance Wayne & myself. All she needs to seeis our bike gear come out of the closet and she gets excited. She will dig around in the gear bag till she finds a riding glove and then runs off till we have to chase her down to get it back. If we try to leave without her, she goes nuts.
- Bunny rides in a specially made pouch. She wears a harness which is clipped into the inside of the bag so she doesn't get accidentially bounced out. She has a helmet, but like most kids, she's not crazy about wearing it. She also wear glasses to help keep dirt and bugs from getting into her eyes. Yes, she has crashed before, but she is undaunted. Riding on Wayne's chest, she ispretty well protected. She is a mountain biking fanatic. Total strangers have stopped us to take our picture on the trail. Bunny has had about 2,000 mileof off road mountain biking experience including riding at the world renown Mamouth Mountain. Your comments are welcome. Email Michelle & Wayne at:
Annie and Lovey have their picture on this site. They belong to Gary and Lenita McFeron, who live in Georgia, USA. Lenita takes up the story:
- We have two, Lovey, (Praiz Hymn's Love Lifted Me), a black and tan female born April 25, 1994 -- and Annie (McFeron's Angela Darling) born July 6,1993. Terribly spoiled, wonderfully loved and practically perfect in every way!
- Gary's spent most of his life (40 something) with Poms in the house. He went a long time without one. Then, I fell in love with his mom's pom (not a perfect specimen, but some good qualities) and for my birthday two years ago, I got one. I was visiting my parents in Texas while he was in China on business. We had talked of getting a pom, a little male one. Then Daddy and I went to a sort of trading post where I fell in love with Annie -- my little"mutt dog" who thinks she's a princess -- and Dad bought her for me. I looked around at others, but had already bonded with her when I first held her.
- Gary didn't know anything about it, of course, and when she was only a couple of days old, her blood sugar level fell. I rushed her to the vet where she bounced back with a little glucose -- a good lesson about Nutrical vitamins. I told Gary about her over long distance lines between Atlanta and China -- in tears! He was very surprised, but also truly pleased when he met her. I think we may have rescued her from a "puppy mill" -- I didn't really know what to look for at the time. So, her breeding is questionable. She's papered, but has some noticeable faults (by American standards). However, a friend who is a breeder is very impressed with some of her markings (the mask, for example) and her personality. She is very fine boned and a little hocky. Our breeder friend has a male who's been able to correct some of these faults and we're looking to give away Annie's pups (maybe keeping one for me!). Friends who have bred and shown poms for a while are marvelous because they're always giving advice and teaching you the things you must know.
- Most people who aren't very schooled regarding Pomeranians think that Annie's the real catch because she's so cute and has a terrific personality. It couldn't be farther from the truth. Lovey is a prize catch. She's been shown and took some points here and in Canada. She's really a pretty girl and has a great bloodline. Her feet never touched cement. She was born in the living room of a good home and her brothers and sisters were all pets, too. Anyway, she is the real "brood bitch", but even if we never get a great pup, she's a tremendous joy to have around -- the perfect pet (except that she really likes the soundof her own bark!) Her genetic sister (also a black & tan) has produced some real show stoppers with the same stud we're planning to put Lovey with. So,we have very successful experiment results. We'll see next June! We're not into showing because of our hectic work schedules. However, the breeder saysthat she will take the pick and show it for us to give our line more credibility. I think shows would be great fun and we plan to make that a goal when life gets a little less hectic

Rena A. Lindgren in Minnesota send in this contribution about Muffin and Ginger:
- Muffin: She was born March 23rd 1994. She is the youngest of this litter (4) but the alpha of her older sister. Muffin's hair is thick and orange (blonde right now but turning orange) . She is independant & the watch dog of the two.
- Ginger: She was born March 23rd 1994 & is the older sister of Muffin. Her color is red sable with a black muzzle. Her hair is thinner and longer, looking totally different from Muffin even though they were born in the same litter.Ginger is shy, fussy about her food & always wants to be around one of her owners (me or my husband, Dick). She scares more easily than Muffin, but is playful and loveable.
