The dictionary defines guerilla as "an irregular body of men acting independently". This best describes guerilla films. Most UK independent production companies are, in fact, dependent companies - dependent on the BBC or Channel 4 or ITV to provide financing.

guerilla films is a small, independent, film production and distribution company based in London, England, run by David Nicholas Wilkinson - CV.

Nearly all our productions are funded outside the usual sources and none of our productions have had British government or European state funding. We run the company along the lines of American independent filmmaking, pioneered by filmmakers like John Cassavetes, which is why we use the US English spelling of guerilla.

The Internet allows filmmakers like ourselves to reach a world-wide audience - something that was denied us until now.
