About Sweet Chilli

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jubjang Na Siam. I am here to introduce you to the world of Thai food and the first Thai restaurant on UK Internet. Before I begin, I would like to thank you all who, both accidentally and intentionally, visit our site. It is our pleasure to see you here. Well, let's have a starter! No, I mean let's start.

Thai food came to Europe and America after Chinese and Indian but, this does not mean that Thai food is not as famous as those two. In fact, the Thai food is becoming prominent and is also overtaking Indian and Chinese both in terms of taste and quality. According to a survey conducted in UK by Mintel (Marketing Intelligence), Thai food has grown, in terms of turnover, more than 20% between 1994-1995 and will continue to grow into the next century. However, this is only the figure; I am sure you would not believe that Thai food is the best until you try it for yourself.

So, let's try the Sweet Chilli Thai Restaurant. I believe it is the first Thai restaurant on the UK World Wide Web. Its name was established by its proprietor, Mr. K.D. Phonphongsavat. The restaurant is new: founded about 9 months ago. It serves typical Thai dishes, when I say typical I mean typical; you will find well-known herbs originally imported from Thailand, for example, galangal, lemon grass, basil leaves, coriander and kafir lime leaf. These herbs really give the Thai dishes of Sweet Chilli a very remarkable taste: superior to other Eastern Asian dishes. Thai food is often thought to be very spicy and hot. I have to say that is absolutely wrong. Here at Sweet Chilli, we provide a vast range of Thai food, which can be cooked to your own personal taste and still maintain its originality - that is not only the look and style but also the ingredients of each dish.

Apart from providing lunch, dinner and take-away service, Sweet Chilli also has a function room, which can be rented for small or large business meeting. The service normally includes foods and drinks. However, it is not fixed but can be tailored to meet your requirements. We provide this service at a very competitive rate compared to those provided by hotels. If you are interested in this please, contact Sweet Chilli on 0171 7027977 or send an email to Sweet Chilli Thai Restaurant.

Sweet Chilli is unlike other Eastern Asian restaurants, e.g. Japanese, which sometimes employ non-japanese people as chefs. Here, we have our own chef who was brought up in the Thai cuisine and has known how to make typical Thai food since she was 12 years old. Her name is Maneerat Chavalekyankur or Tui, as her colleagues call her. (Tui has more than ten year experience working as chef, both in Thailand and abroad.)

Besides a greatest chef, we also have waiters and waitresses who always give you warmest welcome with smiles. They all look after their customers as their sovereign, meaning that you will not be disappointed at all. More information about Sweet Chilli can be accessed via links below. So, have a good time surfing the Net.
