Today's walk: Conishead to Baycliff and back

this walk was a tiny segment of the Cumbria Coastal Way

Conishead Priory ..

.. now a Buddhist centre

a path winds through the gardens to the coast ..

.. where the tide was going out

Leven Viaduct seen very faintly behind the dog walker

Shelduck foraging as the water recedes

approaching the bay below Bardsea

the path through Sea Wood

wind blown tree above the wood

cloud is starting to lift from the low hills across the estuary

cottages in Baycliff the high point of the walk

marine debris draped on a shoreline tree

this cherry also stands right on the shore

Bardsea village on a hill behind the shore

the far shore now clearly visible behind Chapel Island

back in the priory grounds
