Today's walk: Scout Hill - a HuMP near Crooklands

very hazy looking back from the bridleway onto the slopes of Scout Hill

Farleton Fell and fields below - the white dots are cars on the M6 motorway

the trig point on Scout Hill summit

radio mast north of the summit

the trig point from a possibly 1m higher top to its north - Farleton Fell beyond

Farleton Fell again on the way down

bridleway on the slopes of Scout Hill heading south

I cycled to the other side of the hill - this quiet lane splendid for a bike

this gate north of the hill probably gives the easiest access but the bridleway sign is missing

Tarnhouse Tarn with the slopes of Scout Hill behind

the landscape eastwards from near Tarnhouse Tarn

Green Lane and Lupton Reservoir with Scout Hill in the distance

view north with the Lakeland fells obscured in haze
