FELTHAM & WHITTON LIONS CLUB

Feltham and Whitton Lions Join together with
Marlborough School in an Environment Project.

The lions clubs were challenged to plant 25 trees in the local area.
They of course to should ensure that the trees suit the local conditions, and will be cared for.

Marlborough School in Isleworth  have a plan to mark the Millenium
with a conservation area and wild life pond.
The project will take several years to complete spanning the Millenium.

Feltham and Whitton Lions have given the school money to spend  on trees for this area.
The children will help to choose and plant the trees guided by Mrs. Lowe and
Miss Lloyd. A specialist gardener also supports the project.

These pictures show children from the junior school with Mrs. Lowe planting the first tree.

This tree is an Acia , which will have lovely red foliage and be a
beautiful shape in the autumn and winter months.

The second tree has now been planted and further trees have been
chosen and ordered but will be planted at the correct planting time
