Dr. Rod. J. Houseman (Male) MB. BS. MRCS. LRCP. MRCGP.
Qualified Charing Cross Hospital (London University) 1968. Hospital experience includes General Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, Casualty, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Specialist posts in Obstetrics & Gynaecology were held at the Royal Postgraduate Hospital Hammersmith, Stoke Mandeville & Royal Bucks Hospitals Aylesbury and the Southmead & Frenchay Hospitals Bristol at Registrar level. Late Registrar Clinical Assistant at Princess Margaret Hospital. G.P. Principal since 1974.
Main interests :- Obstetrics & Gynaecology (including GP Unit & Home deliveries): Minor Surgery: Medical Computing & I.T.
Mrs. Pam Houseman SRN: OHNC: Dip. ASTHMA: FPA Cert.: Specialist G.P. Nurse Practitioner.
Qualified The London Hospital 1965. Worked 2 years as Ward Sister, 9 years as Theatre Sister. Gained Occupational Health Nursing Certificate 1976 and worked in Industry for 10 years. Transferred to working in General Practice, specialising in Asthma, Family Planning and Practice Nurse Training. Works as a Nurse Practitioner
Mrs Judy Owen RGN: EN
Mrs Owen is the second Practice Nurse. Qualified at Princess Margaret Hospital, Swindon 1984, working principally on the Gynaecological wards. A brief spell in the D.S.S. was followed by a return to nursing the elderly. Judy came into Practice Nursing in 1996.
Miss Jacqueline Sherry
As the most experienced Receptionist, she provides invaluable help to the patients.
Ms Lisa Webber
Ms Webber has joined the Surgery Team responsible for Research and some administrative tasks. Her role in performing audits is crucial. She is also a trained Receptionist
Mrs. Sylvia Woodward
As Practice Secretary, Mrs Woodward handles all correspondence for the Surgery.
Also working for departments of Princess Margaret Hospital, Mrs Woodward has considerable experience in the medico-secretarial field.
Mrs Maria Morcumb
Practice Counsellor, who has many years experience in counselling depression, anxiety and trauma.
THE ATTACHED TEAM
Mrs. Binny Upham RGN. SCM. & Mrs Clair Murphy RGN. SCM.
As the Surgery Midwives, Mrs Upham & Mrs Murphy conduct regular ante-natal and pre-conceptual counselling clinics at the Surgery and like to see mothers (and fathers) as soon as possible after the pregnancy is diagnosed. Both are part of a team of Community Midwives based in the Maternity Unit of Princess Margaret Hospital.
Mrs Marian Godfrey RGN. SCM. HV.
Based at the West Swindon Health Centre, Mrs Godfrey is the Health Visitor for The Link Surgery. Her work involves the newborn, children up to 5yrs old and their families.
Mrs Sandy Crofts RGN. DN. BSc.(Hons) CPT
District Nurse attached to The Link Surgery. Close liaison and interchange is maintained with the Practice Nurse.
Ms Helen Traish RGN. RMN. BSc.(Hons)
Community Psychiatric Nurse attached to the Surgery. Based at West Swindon Health Centre. Referal is via the Doctor, Practice Nurse, Health Visitor, District Nurse or any member of the psychiatric team.
Mrs Helen McKee RGN. RMN.
Community Psychiatric Nurse for the Elderly, based at the Victoria Hospital. Although she does not hold a specific clinic at the Surgery, her work involves more visiting of the patients at home.
Ms Lucinda Gomiciaga
Community Nurse for The Prospect Foundation, based at their new Hospice in Wroughton. As well as caring for the patient, she is also able to help and counsel the family or carers.
Mrs June Barr RGN
Community Nurse specialising in the needs of those with Learning Difficulties, based at Empire House in Swindon.
Mrs Ann Davis R.G.N. & Mrs Kate Ruck R.G.N.
As school Nurses, their imput at such a vital stage of a persons life is crucial.
