On 'The Windhover'

I caught this morning morning's minion, king-
dom of daylight's dauphin, dapple-dawn-drawn Falcon, in his riding ...
Stirred for a bird, - the achieve of, the mastery of the thing!
- 'The Windhover - To Christ Our Lord', Gerard Manley Hopkins 1844-1889

'I caught this morning morning's minion -'
Almost caught me too
Trapped in a net of well-spun words
That wrapped about my soul.
A moment long, no more
I felt it -
Warm. A gentle glowing.
Revelled in it for a while
Then breaking free
Flew on.

God is in the small things
In the phrases,
In the patterns.
It seems a shiny, perfect place
To live.
