Who am I?

Huw Collingbourne is a freelance writer, palm-grower and mindreader (yikes!) based in the UK.

He has more than 20 years of experience as a journalist, editor, publisher and broadcaster. Amongst other things he has written and presented features for BBC Choice television, edited various computer publications, written an online column for AOL, interviewed celebrities ranging from Rolf Harris to Simon Le Bon and contributed to all kinds of general interest, technology and music magazines.

He once published a humorous magazine called 18 Rated (which was immediately banned by a major chain of UK newsagents who failed to see the joke). He scripted and presented a series of multimedia videos for Future Publishing, which including an on-location report from the Nevada desert featuring a man who'd seen UFOs near the 'top-secret' military base at Area 51.

Every month since March 1988 he has written the computer opinion column 'Rants & Raves' - first for Computer Shopper, then for PC Plus magazine. You can now find Rants and Raves on its own web site: www.rantsandraves.co.uk. He edits the online computing magazine, Bitwise. He also has a Back To The '80s site, containing exclusive interviews and photos of the top pop stars of that decade:www.darkneon.com. Oh yes - nearly forgot! - he also runs a nursery, Rosedown Mill Palms & Exotics.

As for the mindreading. That's a bit of a secret. But then you knew that, didn't you. And, what's worse, Huw knew that you knew that!
