MultiRunner

Version 1.1a now allows two menu items to be passed as parameters thereby increasing the programs that can be run by one desktop icon to 10. Version 1.1 Adds a new feature. You can now pass the name of a menu item as a parameter to multirunner. Multirunner will then load up, run the programs associated with that menu item and unload itself. This means that you can create icons on your desktop which are essentially short-cuts to menu items of multirunner. For computers with limited memory, this means that you no longer require MultiRunner to start up at boot-up and therefore conserve even more memory. I wrote MultiRunner for myself because every time I went on the internet I always wanted to open up my mail reader, my news reader and my WWW program. This meant having to double click on a folder and double click on three different icons in turn. I decided enough was enough and so multi-runner was born. It allows the user to define up to 10 sets of programs that they wish to run in groups like this. Each group can have up to 5 programs in. On right-clicking on the MultiRunner icon in the taskbar notification area, a menu will pop-up with a list of the users pre-defined combinations. Clicking on any of these items will open the group of programs. All this with two swift mouse clicks. Of course there is nothing to stop you from just specifying single programs into each of the ten slots to make easy access to 10 of your favourite programs.
